What is the difference between Couch to Fitness and Couch to Fitness 2?

Couch to Fitness is the first programme that we created to help you be active at home. It is designed as a 9-week programme for beginners or those getting back into activity.

We provide 3 x 30min sessions each week that gradually increase in intensity and effort as you progress.

Most people start with Couch to Fitness and then when complete move on to Couch to Fitness 2.

Couch to Fitness 2 was created as a follow up. It follows the same 9-week structure and also starts at a low intensity which gradually increases over time.

We listened to your feedback to make improvements to the Couch to Fitness 2 and this means the main differences in Couch to Fitness 2 are:

  • Less exercises which require you to go from standing to the floor. We heard from users that this kind of transition made it hard to keep up.

  • More variations shown on screen. So when we are doing more complex activities we always provide alternate options including standing or seated variations.

p.s. Did you know? We filmed the original Couch to Fitness programme in just one weekend during Covid restrictions in 2020. That meant a total of 27 x 30 minute workouts for Born, Danni and Christine! Phew!
